Sunday was your typical Seattle day, rainy and overcast, but I got to brighten my day with sweet little Baby S.  This little girl is so lucky to have two proud parents and a gorgeous head of hair! Baby S was a dream and even woke up for a bit to show off her beautiful eyes.  I had so much fun and I had even more fun editing!

My sister in law delivered her first baby February 9.  We took the opportunity to visit over President's Day weekend and let me say he was worth the snowy roads! Baby Asher had perfect pouty lips and slept the whole way through our mini-session.  We are so excited that Kannon and Clark will have cousins.  We are so happy for Dalyn & Derek and their little one. 

Before & After::

I love photographing people. I love using my camera, discovering new angles, new settings, and getting up close and personal.  I use editing programs lightly--hoping to keep images natural and raw.  However, I am amazed by the simplest adjustments that make a good photo to a WOW photo.

I took these photos of Clark when he was a little over a week old. Notice the before shot is very red, lacks contrast, and shows a piece of our wall.  After I cropped the image, bumped the exposure and blacks, I reduced the saturation of red and yellow.  These three little steps completely changed the quality of the photo.  I also did a few other things, but I wont bore you with boring photo lingo.  Big difference, right?

I posted the "Many Faces of Clark" but never finished the rest.  Well, tonight was my chance to catch up and catch up I did!  I have *gasp* over 100 photos edited and ready to upload from our month of adventure.  Before we jump to those, remember little Clark?  He isn't so little anymore!!!

Little C 4 Months {Seattle Baby Photographer}

It is hard to believe 4 months has passed since Clark joined our family.  He is a joy--so happy and content.  He has started rolling over, grabbing toys, and exploring his hands and feet.  Lately he has discovered his ability to express himself.  What a doll!

Happy Sunday!  The weather was beautiful and sunny here in Seattle and we made full use of the sunshine.  My friend made these adorable hats for Clark and asked me to photograph them for her Etsy site.  As you can see, Clark is the perfect model!

{Seattle Newborn Photographer} Baby Clark Arrived!

Ok, this a few weeks overdue but when you have 2 kids 11 months a part your hands are quite full.  Our little guy finally arrived, a week past his prime on October 8, 2010.  We are in love with his calming presence, thick black air, and chestnut eyes.  I hope to get a few more photo shoots in with this guy before his "sleep anywhere" habits disappear but here are few I caught this week.  Enjoy!
